Bei meiner Patchworklehrerin entdeckte ich ein ganz tolles Buch über die japanische Patchworktechnik "Atarashii". Leider gibt es dieses Buch nicht mehr, aber ich wollte es unbedingt ausprobieren und hab mir als Ersatz das Buch von Ranghild Graßhoff geholt.
Ein Muster hatte es mir in dem anderen Buch besonders angetan und ich hab es gleich ausprobiert. Leider bin ich noch nicht fertig.

Unfortunately the book is no more available (too old) but I bought another one: "Atarashii Patchwork" by Ranghild Graßhoff.
I started my first project and it is really fun but I´m not finished yet.

I keep looking at the design template and my mind is going nuts with different fabric combinations. The best thing is there are no raw edges when the piece is done.. In the rare case that a seam comes loose with wear, nothing will ravel and it can be repaired neatly. I'm one of those that looks at the full dynamics of construction, any potential problems, and likelihood of how long it will last/durability. Thank you for sharing.
