RevoluzZzionäres Monster / RevoluzZzionary Monster

Offensichtlich geht ein Virus um, der mich jetzt auch erwischt hat - Nähen dieser super süssen kleinen Monster.
Eine Anleitung inclusive Schnittmuster gibt es bei Suse im Blog, die das Monster auch erfunden hat.
Mein Monster ist für eine Freundin. Ich habe ihr ein paar Kissen genäht und aus dem Reststoff dieses Monster und ich finde es einfach nur cool. Es ging super schnell zu nähen und eroberte mein Herz. Ein zweites ist bereits in Arbeit - diesmal für mein Baby :-)

It seems that a sewing virus is in the air am I´m addicted as well - sewing of the really cute and cool mini monsters. It has been created by Suse and the pattern including the instructions can be found in her blog.

This monster is for a friend of mine. I sewed some pillows for her and from the remaining fabic the monster has been created.

I´m already sewing the next one - for my baby :-)

Pinnwand / Pin board

Gestern waren wir zu einer Hochzeit eingeladen. Als Geschenk gewünscht war Geld und ich brauchte noch eine hübsche Verpackung und da kam mir sofort etwas praktisch-schönes für die Küche in den Sinn.
Ich hab verschiedene Panels mit Kaffee-Motiven zusammengenäht und braunes Gummi kreuz und quer aufgezogen. Dazu noch ein paar kleine Blümchen-Klammern und einen Engel.
Das Geld hab ich dann später origamimässig noch verarbeitet und an der Pinnwand verteilt.

Yesterday we were invited to a wedding and they asked as gift for money. So I needed a nice kind of wrapping for the money and I immediately thought about something useful for the kitchen - a pin board.
I used some panels with coffee motive and brown elastic band criss-cross... in addition some cute clips with flowers and an sweet angel, the money folded as origami and the gift is ready...

Garnrollenhalter / Bobbin box

Vor ein paar Wochen hat mein Liebster mir eine alte Holzbierkiste aus DDR-Zeiten ersteigert.
Die wollte ich die ganze Zeit etwas neu herrichten und für meine Garnrollen benutzen.
Ok, das Restaurieren hat mein Papi übernommen, aber eingerichtet hab ich sie :-)))

I got a really old box of wood from my sweetheart some weeks ago.
In the original plan I would like to restore the box a little bit but in the reality my dad did it :-)
The box is now finished and I can use it a box for my bobbins...

Auflösung Teaser

Mein Teaser war ein Geschenk für meine kleine Schwester - ein Wandbild zur Schmuckaufbewahrung. Und da es mir soooo gut gefallen hat, hab ich mir auch eins gemacht. Es hängt jetzt im Schlafzimmer und sieht super aus.
Für Ohrringe, die keine Haken haben und anderen Schmuck hab ich noch zwei kleine Täschchen mit schwarzer Spitze verziert, aufgenäht.

The teaser is a kind of mural for safe keeping of juwelery. I did it for my little sister for Christmas but I like it so much that I did another one for myself.
This is now in our bedroom and looks very pretty with the yellow wall.
For earrings with only a pin I put some small pockets on it.

Reversible Quilt

Noch in den Unterrichtsstunden bei Patchwork Frede lernte ich das Prinzip des Reversible Quilts.
Davon bin ich ja echt begeistert. Einfacher geht es garnicht, allerdings müssen die letzten Stiche eben mit der Hand stattfinden und davor hab ich mich gedrückt und so lag das kleine Deckchen hier ein paar Monate rum. Aber am letzten Wochenende wollte ich unbedingt ein paar der UFOs wegarbeiten und so ist dieses jetzt auch fertig.

Tischläufer/table runner Patchwork Magazin 05/2008

Als ich mir das neuste Patchwork-Magazin holte, sprang mir der Tischläufer "Moderne Tischbänder" sofort ins Auge und wie zufällig waren wir auch noch bei IKEA und so wanderten auch zwei passende Stöffchen noch in meinen Korb.
Blöd nur, dass ich doch tatsächlich wieder einen Fehler gemacht hab, der mir schon häufiger passiert ist - die Stoffe sind dehnbar... nicht so perfekt für Patchwork.
Aber das Ergebnis lässt sich trotzdem sehen...

Der dunkle Stoff ist ein dunkles Lila.
Ich habe den Tischläfer mit der Maschine füsschenbreit von den Nähten gequiltet und das ging ganz wunderbar.
Er ist auch schon in Benutzung.

It was love at the first sight - the table runner in the newest version of "Patchwork Magazin 05/2008" and by accident we were at Ikea and so two new fabrics found the way to my home :-)
But I made again the same mistake - the fabric is stetchy and so not the best choice for patchwork but at the end it turned out well an we already use it.

The runner is machine quilted.

Patchwork Spezial "Poppyfield" - In Progress

Hallo zusammen,

auch wenn ich eher weniger von mir hören lasse, nähe ich doch still vor mich hin.
Die Projekte sind nur etwas längerfristiger, so dass es dauert, bis es etwas gibt, dass ich zeigen möchte.

Zur Zeit bin ich in der Fertigstellung eines Bildes für unser Schlafzimmer. Es ist aus der Patchwork Spezial 01/2008 und nennt sich "Poppyfield" :-)
Einige der Blumen haben auch bereits den Weg auf das Bild gefunden und die erste ist auch schon appliziert. Das alles dauert nur ewig lange.

although I update my blog more or less very seldom I´m still sewing but all the projects are time consuming and are taking longer then I thought until I can show you something.
At the moment I´m sewing a wall hanging for our bed room. It´s called "Poppyfield" and you can find the pattern in Patchwork Spezial Applizieren 01/2008.
Some of the flowsers already found the way on the quilt and the first flower has been appliqued but it took really long.

Patchwork Läufer fertig/Patchwork carpet finished

Das kleine bisschen Freizeit versuche ich immer noch mit Nähen zu nutzen. Da aber die Hochzeit immer näher rückt, ist dies alles nicht so einfach, weil wir immer eine ganze Menge zu organisieren haben und an den restlichen Tagen bin ich bei diesem schlechten Wetter einfach immer zu müde... Aber den angefangenen Patchwork-Läufer habe ich beendet. Es fehlten noch ein paar Quilting-Nähte und das Binding.

As my wedding comes closer every day we have a lot to organize so that my spare time gets smaller and smaller every day but I try to sew any time it is possible and any time I´m not too tired for it. But I finished the patchwork carpet - the quilting and the binding.

Es geht voran - unser Quilt

Erstmal wünsche ich Euch - ein bisschen spät - alles liebe noch für das neue Jahr!

Man hat lang nichts mehr von mir gehört, aber erst hatte ich keine Zeit, dann war ich krank und alles, woran ich arbeite, ist irgendwie noch nicht vorzeigbar.

First of all - a little bit belated - I wish you a happy new year.

It was little bit quiet here - I had no time, then I was ill and everything I´m working on is not really something for viewing.

Ein Projekt an dem ich momentan arbeite, ist unser Quilt. Es ist schon etwas länger her, dass ich die Stoffe zugeschnitten hatte. Mittlerweile ist alles zusammengenäht und alle 3 Lagen sind miteinander geheftet.

Auch hab ich bei der netten Frau Frede von Patchwork Frede in Hamburg meine ersten Unterrichtsstunden im Quilten mit der Hand bekommen. Ich muss sagen, es macht Spass, ist aber garnicht so einfach. Das Nähen an sich schon, aber gleichmässige, kleine Stiche - die werden wohl noch dauern.

On project I am working on is still the quilt for our bed, my first quilt ever. Some months ago I already cut the pieces but now all the pieces were sewed together and all 3 layers are covered.

Besides this I got my first lesson for quilting by hand from Ms Frede from Patchwork Frede here in Hamburg. It is not so difficult at all but to sew a smoothy and small stitch is not easy. But - learning by doing :-)

Die letzten Weihnachtsgeschenke / Last Christmas Gifts

So, kurz vor Weihnachten wurden noch zwei weitere kleine Geschenke fertig - ein Kissen für mein Patenkind und ein Patchwork-Bild für den Freund meiner Mutter.

Komischerweise wollten plötzlich alle so ein kleines Blumenkissen :-)

So, das vorletzte Geschenk ist nun auch endlich fertig. Es ist ein Dekokorb aus der Patchwork Special Weihnachten und für meine Cousine, die gerade umgezogen ist, gedacht.

Only little things

Seit gestern hab ich für die nächsten 3 Wochen Urlaub und es war einfach zuviel Stress vorher, um überhaupt irgendwas zu machen.
Dementsprechend ist nicht sehr viel entstanden in den letzten Wochen, nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten wie ein paar Untersetzer für uns:

For the next 3 weeks I´m on vacation - thanks good! But therefore there was again no time for being creative because there was a lot to prepare for the vacation in the job and the time was again too stressful to do anything after the daily job. Only some table mat for our flat.

I love this easy and fast sewing :-)
