Baby Strampler / Baby rompers

Im Moment legt mich irgendwie alles lahm. Hab das Gefühl, ich müsste mich, wann immer es geht, ausruhen und einfach nichts tun. Meine Motivation lässt echt zu wünschen übrig, aber nebenbei ist auch immer so viel zu tun - eine neue Wohnung muss gefunden werden bzw. sich genau überlegt werden, wie in der momentanen alles arrangiert werden kann, Babysachen ausgesucht und gekauft usw....

Aber ich hab trotzdem bereits ein erstes Teil für mein eigenes Baby genäht - einen Strampler, in neutralen Farben, denn ich mag es garnicht, dass alles so in blau und rosa unterteilt ist. Muss das wirklich sein?

At the moment I´m feeling exhausted very often and try to relax whenever it is possible and so I do not really spend a lot of time in handcraft at the moment.
But I tried my first baby rompers in green colours because I do not like the separation into blue for a boy and rose for a girl. There are so many colours - why only use two of them?

Patchwork Taschen Spezial 02/08

Im Moment bin ich irgendwie eher mit Tüddelkram oder Schlafen beschäftigt, aber zwischendurch hab ich mir doch mal wieder eine Tasche genäht.
Sie ist nach der Anleitung "Kimikos Tasche" aus der Patchwork Spezial entstanden, nur eben ohne Patchwork :-)
Alle benutzten Stoffe hab ich schon sehr lange und es wurde Zeit, dass aus ihnen endlich mal etwas Schönes entstanden ist. Aussen ist sie dunkelgrau und türkis - beides ein flauschiger Stoff, der sich wie Velourleder anfässt. Innen habe ich ein Schätzchen aus den USA verarbeitet.
Die Herzapplikation vorn ist von einem alten Shirt von mir - also auch noch ein "Aus alt mach neu" :-)

At the moment I´m mostly bussy with odds and sods or sleeping (it´s really time for spring and shunshine) but inbetween I sewed a new bag for me :-)
The pattern is "Kimikos Bag" out of the Patchwork Taschen Spezial but without any patchwork piece :-)
I had the farbics for a really long time in my stock and it was time for them to turn into something nice.

Pucksack und Sabberlätzchen / Sleeping bag and Bib

So, hier nun die letzten beiden Teile, die ich für meine beste Freundin und ihr Baby genäht habe - ein Pucksack und ein Sabberlätzchen zum Wenden.
Here the last things for my best friend and her girl baby - a sleeping bag and a bib.

Der Pucksack zusammengefaltet. Die Seiten werden mit Klettverschlüssen gehalten.
The folded sleeping bag - the sides will be closed by a hook-and-loop fastener.


Und hier das Wende-Lätzchen.. and here the bib - both sides useable....

Mehr Platz... / More Space

Bis jetzt lagen all meine Patchworkstoffe in so durchsichtigen Kisten von IKEA. Das war irgendwie unpraktisch, weil ich nie auf einen Blick sehen konnte, was ich so alles habe (und ich habe mehr, als ich dachte). Also gab es bei IKEA ein neuen kleines Regal :-)

Es hat ein paar Stunden gedauert, alles zu falten und zu sortieren, aber jetzt ist es fertig und viel besser als vorher.

Up to now all my Patchwork fabrics were stored in transparent boxes by IKEA but this has been very inefficient because I never could see what fabrics I have at the first glance. So we bought a small new shelf and now it is much more better :-)
It took some hours to fold and sort all the fabrics but now I`m happy with the result.

Farbenmix "Zwergenverpackung" II

Für meine beste Freundin hab ich mal wieder den Schnitt von Farbenmix rausgeholt und kleine niedliche Dinge genäht. Sie bekommt nun definitiv ein Mädchen und da lässt sich viel schönes machen..
My best friend is pregnant and it is quite sure that it is girl. So I picked up again the pattern "Zwergenverpackung" by Farbenmix and sewed some sweet things.

Zuerst ein Set aus Jacke und Hose, verziert mit rose Spitze.
I started with a set - coat and pants made of Fleece and rose lace.

Hinten hab ich noch einen kleinen gehäkelten Schmetterling aufgenäht.
At the back a small crocheted butterfly.


Und meine kleinen pinken Katzenknöpfe fanden auch endlich ihren Platz.
And finally I found a place for my pink Catbuttons.

Und weil es sooo schön ist, für Mädchen zu nähen, gibt es noch ein kleines Kleidchen dazu.
Since this was so much fun she will also get a cute dress. It is made of an "old" business shirt of my husband :-)

Das Kleidchen ist aus einem ausgeräumten Hemd von meinem Mann gemacht :-)

Und da ich schon mal dabei war, hab ich noch mal das kleine Höschen und einen Kaputzenpulli genäht. Wer genau den bekommt, weiss ich noch nicht...
While I´m at it I sewed again the hoddie and pants I already did.

Sweatshirtjacke/-jacket for men - BuMo 10/08

Das ist das erste Mal, dass ich Kleidung für einen Mann genäht habe und zum Glück war es von Erfolg gekrönt.
Es sitzt, passt, wackelt, hat Luft :-)

For the first time I sewed something for a men and I´m a lucky person - it fits, looks good and he likes it.

Und es war nicht schwierig, nur die Pattentaschen waren etwas kniffelig, wohl aber, weil ich sie noch nie genäht hatte. Auf einer Seite warfen sie unschöne Falten, so dass ich das gesamte Seitenteil noch mal zugeschnitten und genäht habe, aber ansonsten ist das eine wirklich tolle Jacke und nur zu empfehlen.

It wasn´t complicated except for the welt pocket but I think only because I never did it before. One side had some ugly crinkles after sewing and so I cutted and sewed it again.

Besonders die gesteppten Nähte auf den Schultern machen was her und tragen dazu bei, dass die Jacke wie eine gekaufte aussieht..

Especially the quilted seams on the shoulders looks very good and make it looks like a bought jacket.

Es ist das Modell 133 aud der Burda Moden 10/2008.
Es war das Weihnachtsgeschenk für meinen Mann und er hat sich sehr gefreut. Ich werde das Modell auf jeden Fall noch mal nähen, dann aber mit Stehkragen und ohne Kapuze - etwas mehr Büro-tauglich.

It´s modell 133 out of Buda Moden 10/2008 and I can only recommend this pattern and I will do it again but without a hoodie, with a band collar so it will be more suitable for the business. It was the Christmas gift for my husband and he is very happy about it.
